Who am I? I am the mother of a very active 4 year old and a sweet one year old son who has a peanut allergy. My son has had severe eczema since birth. He has had ear tubes, a Doc Band, circumcision surgery and has been in physical therapy for torticollis since he was two months old. We had him tested because of his severe eczema. The allergy tests concluded that he was a Level 5 for allergies to cats, Level 3 allergies to dogs and other hairy animals and a candidate for many allergies in the future. The worst result of the test was that he was a level 5 for a peanut allergy at a score of 58. I was shocked. How could my son have a peanut allergy? My side of the family has no allergies. My husband’s side of the family has allergies, skin issues and asthma. So this begins my blog about all the interesting things I have learned about peanut allergies…
